2020 NFPA Firewise Communities Renewal

Since 2014, our community has been a designated NFPA Firewise Community. This means people in our community have put an effort into creating defensible space, education, and community fuel reduction projects to give our community a better chance at surviving a wildfire. We are putting together a report that shows how many hours our residents have spent doing these projects in order to complete our annual Firewise Community renewal and in order to do that, we need your help in providing this information. Renewing our Firewise Commmunity status annually means potential discounts for home insurance and helps us show insurance companies that we are a defensible community. This is an important process, and we ask for your help in continuing these efforts. Please fill out the form below so that we can include your hours on our annual renewal. Hours to be included can be in the form of education, volunteering for community fire projects, clearing a 100-foot defensible space around your home, etc. Thank you for your cooperation and time.

Please, email completed form to Fire@greenhorncsd.com
